It was only a matter of time before we saw him emerge victorious, once you see the real effort behind it. If you've seen his training videos, how he approaches each test as if it were his last, you'll understand. Always pushing himself to the limit, but accompanied by his signature smile.
Effort and perseverance since I was a child
John John Florence is passionate about surfing; it's his life; he was born to surf. An elite athlete, without a doubt, who still has many incredible sessions to offer us with his signature aerials.
At just 8 years old, he showed he wasn't messing around and was very clear about what he was doing. So, as expected, his development has led him to be among the best in the world.
Although his career has been hampered by injuries, he's always been determined and hard-working. Here are a couple of training videos, in which you can see the incredible leg strength and endurance work he does.
