We remember times when we used to go surfing. And almost always, a friend would stay on the shore filming what we thought was a perfect wave session. But it was nothing like reality; it was a complete disaster. Neither the shots, nor the lighting, nor our surfing style resembled the imported surf videos we received.
Now the reality is different. Advances in technology and the internet are wonderful for showcasing talent, both behind and in front of the camera. Some of them are true masterpieces, featuring both established and novice directors.

Creativity and incredible images
We can spend hours and hours in front of the screen watching them, not just because we're trying to choose a good playlist, but because they're addictive. Watching surf videos is a great therapy for anxiety, especially right now . They always teach you something new, and not just about surfing.
Many people talk about the ecosystem, friendship, health, and well-being. But let's be honest, what we love most is seeing aerials, great tubes, and good spots.
We've compiled a short list of the ones we can't get enough of.
1_ULUALOHA by Etienne Aurelius
We begin with the story of a young Hawaiian man who was attacked by a shark and how it changed his life. ULUALOHA by Etienne Aurelius introduces us to the essence of surfing through the eyes of native surfer Jimmy "Ulu Boi" Napeahi. You'll probably feel the same way after watching the video...we want to go to Hawaii!
2_THE WILD by Lieber Films
Winner of the 2015 Surf Film Festival, the video features Noah Beschen, a young boy, and his connection with nature and surfing. Shot on Red Dragon 6K cameras. The quality and beauty of the images are unsurpassed.
3_ALOHA NALU by Streve Briand
A stunning wave session by O'Neill's pro surfer, Malia Manuel, at a stunning spot in Australia. All filmed with a drone, the unique perspective offers stunning images.
4_WAVE FORM by Stefan Nadelman
This is perhaps one of my favorites, as it feels more like a music video than a surfing video. It's brutal! Action-packed sequences, colorful, and innovative. Presented in competition at the O'Neill UNREASONABLE Film Festival.
5_HEY HO LET'S GO SURFING by Nathan Oldfield
This is perhaps one of those that still retains the essence of the surf videos of yesteryear. Its Californian style in its surfing style, the beach shots. Everything reminds us of those early sessions with friends, from the way it's edited to the surfer-inspired music.
6_ NIGHTSURF by Iker Elorrieta
This is one of the shorter videos, but it boasts a stunning visual intensity. A stunning surf session in the middle of the night in Tenerife. Music plays a key role, imbuing the images with a sense of romance and harmony.
What? Are you still hungry for more surf videos like these? We are too. Don't worry, we'll be uploading more soon. For now, let's keep an eye on the weather forecast to see if we get any waves around here.
Greetings and good waves!
